The pack connects to your iPod's 30-pin dock connector, with a built-in clip keeping it securely attached to your belt. Once attached, the backup battery unit delivers an extra 15 to 20 hours of playing time, far more than the iPod's integrated rechargeable battery. And should the backup battery start to run down--as revealed by the LED indicator--simply insert another four AA batteries (not included) and you're back to full strength.
